SEND Support Worker

Location: Northamptonshire
Job Type: Part-time/Self-employed
Compensation: £12.00 per hour (increasing to £12.50 after a successful 3-month probation)

As a SEND Creative Arts Coach, you will lead inclusive creative arts sessions designed for children, young adults, and adults with SEND. You will support participants in building confidence, exploring their creativity, and developing skills in performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative arts sessions, including dance, singing, acting, and musical theatre.
Adapt activities to suit the needs of participants with a range of SEND.
Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, promoting teamwork and self-expression.
Work closely with families, carers, and team members to create a positive and safe environment.

Qualifications & Experience:
Experience working with children, young adults, or adults with SEND.
A passion for the arts and inclusive education.
Knowledge of SEND or creative arts practices is desirable.

Skills & Attributes:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and empathy.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse participants.

SEND Play Worker

As a SEND Play Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the emotional, social, and creative development of children, young adults, and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through play-based activities. Your focus will be on facilitating inclusive play, encouraging interaction, and ensuring participants are engaged in a safe and welcoming environment. You will help promote positive experiences that enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate play and recreational activities for individuals with SEND in both group and one-to-one settings.
Assist in creating an inclusive, fun, and supportive environment.
Work closely with staff, families, and participants to meet the individual needs of those you support.
Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of participants through structured and unstructured play.
Qualifications & Experience:

Experience working with SEND children, young adults, or adults.
Training or qualifications in SEND care or play-based learning are desirable.
Skills & Attributes:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for play-based support.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
